HCPSS Recognizes CRES GREEN SCHOOL--10-25-2016
School System and County leaders joined numerous elected officials to recognize five newly certified green schools during a ceremony at the Howard County Conservancy.
The Green School program empowers students to become leaders in protecting the environment. Students investigate environmental issues in the classroom and put that knowledge into practice, leading habitat and restoration projects in their schoolyard and community. Green Schools also tend to be among the most energy-efficient facilities in the Howard County Public School System.
